Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is now recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join our Hydraulic area in our Operations team here at Staverton. The Role

You will be joining a talented, welcoming and collaborative team and will be responsible for the assembly, test and inspection of various hydraulic/pneumatic instruments, using complex diagnostic tests and methodologies as well as high-level technical build. You will effectively interpret and utilise assembly and engineering drawing/specifications. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all assembly and test functions are completed to the necessary quality standards – they meet contractual customer expectations and conformance to enable progression to final inspection and release.

It is crucial in this role that you adhere to legislation governing employment, including but not restricted to health and safety, data protection, equal opportunities, and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with statutory and local policies and procedures.

About You

  • Relevant experience working in a similar role, ideally within Aviation/Aerospace (this is not essential).
  • No problem reading and interpreting engineering drawings and experience in working with hydraulic/pneumatic components.
  • Experience with measurement equipment such as Verniers, Micrometres and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team while possessing excellent prioritisation skills.
