Our Programme

Joining Ontic’s Engineering Graduate scheme gives you the opportunity to put theoretical knowledge into practice, rotating through your chosen department to learn and develop as you go. Completing the 2‑year scheme will provide a solid foundation to support your career at Ontic, where your role will have a direct impact on the business’s success and where you can start your journey to become a future leader.

You’ll take responsibility early on and be involved in fast‑moving, business‑critical projects from day one. You’ll be inquisitive, thrive on new experiences and challenges, and constantly seek out new learning opportunities.

From day one, you’ll be encouraged, supported and listened to. You’ll be expected to take ownership of tasks, using initiative to solve problems and collaborating with colleagues to achieve success.

Throughout the scheme, we’ll provide formal coaching sessions, mentors, on‑the‑job training and workshops, and support for the completion of professional qualifications to help you achieve your full potential.

At the end of the programme, you’ll move on to a permanent role where your drive and performance can accelerate your career.

Who We’re Looking For

In order to succeed as a Graduate with Ontic, you’ll need to have achieved or be predicted to achieve at least a 2:1 in an Engineering‑relevant degree. We’re particularly interested in applications from candidates with a degree in one of the following:

• Aerospace
• Mechanical
• Electronics
• Industrial
• Manufacturing
• Mechatronics

We look for more than just a degree; you’ll need a growth mindset, the ability to work in an ever‑changing environment, and characteristics such as curiosity, flexibility, resilience, analytical thinking, and collaboration. You won’t mind rolling your sleeves up to help make things better or removing barriers to get the job done.
