AP Filtration, a growing specialist in oil and fuel filtration products for the aerospace industry, is recruiting for a Sales, Procurement & Production Planner to join our Operations team. You will support the coordination of customer orders, purchasing activity, and production planning to ensure on-time delivery and excellent customer service. This role will be based at our Westhoughton site.
We are more than just a business; we’re a close-knit team operating in a fast-paced SME environment where individuals make a real impact. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products to our customers and continuously improving the way we work as we grow.
The Role:
As a Sales, Procurement & Production Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of customer orders from initial intake through procurement and into production. You’ll manage the sales order book within our ERP system, maintaining accurate delivery dates and providing updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
Working closely with the shop floor and operations team, you’ll create and maintain production schedules, ensuring efficient use of capacity and alignment with delivery commitments. You’ll also take responsibility for raising purchase orders, monitoring supplier performance, and managing supply risks to ensure materials are available when needed.
Alongside this, you’ll support compliance with aerospace standards, ensuring all documentation, certification, and traceability requirements are met. Acting as a central point of coordination across sales, procurement, stores, and production, you’ll help keep priorities aligned and operations running effectively in a dynamic environment.
About you:
At AP Filtration, our culture is integral to how we work together and deliver for our customers. While we look for the right skillset, we’re also looking for someone who will thrive in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring experience from a manufacturing environment, ideally within production planning, supply chain, procurement, or order management. You’ll be confident using ERP systems and managing multiple priorities, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
You’ll be a proactive problem-solver, comfortable communicating with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure issues are resolved and delivery commitments are met. Experience within aerospace or a regulated industry would be advantageous, along with an awareness of quality standards such as Part 21 or AS9100.
