Ontic, an aerospace industry leading provider of ‘Extended Life Solutions’ for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) legacy and non-core products, has an opportunity for a FAI Quality Technician to join our team based at our Head Office in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham to support our continued success and ambitious growth plans.
What will you be doing?
- You’ll be preparing and performing First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in support of Manufacturing.
- You’ll review our current manufacturing schedules in order to plan and prioritise First Article Inspection activities.
- You’ll analyse the manufacturing data packs to understand the associated processes to apply to First Article Inspection activities in support of Validation Plans.
- You’ll create and deliver First Article Inspection reports by witnessing the operations and processes being conducted in manufacturing, and population of data within the relevant company system.
- You’ll also compile FAI metrics to inform manufacturing management for use in management reviews.
What will you need to know?
- You’ll have proven experience on delivering First Article Inspection in line with customer requirements and in accordance with AS9102.
- You’ll ideally possess a minimum of a time-served apprenticeship in addition to relevant experience in FAI.
- You’ll be able to understand internal and external customer requirements in addition to regulatory and certification requirements.
- We are looking for someone with the capability to identify business improvements and the passion to ensure they are effectively implemented.
