Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join our shop floor team where you'll support our team focusing on builds and assembles of aerospace filtration products. This role will be based at our Bolton site

The Role
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for building and stripping a variety of simple and complex filtration units, utilising your knowledge and skills to assemble filters efficiently and accurately. While not essential, experience gained within the aerospace industry would be advantageous.
You will assemble, test, and inspect a range of mechanical products and final-unit instruments, using diagnostic tests, methodologies, and high-level technical assembly techniques. You will effectively interpret and utilise assembly and engineering drawings and specifications. In addition, you will work within a production environment to undertake and support assembly and testing activities as required to meet business needs.
A key aspect of the role is ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies relating to health and safety, data protection, equal opportunities, and quality assurance. You will ensure that all assembly and testing activities are completed to the required quality standards, meet contractual customer expectations, and conform to specifications to enable progression to final inspection and release. The efficient and correct use of test equipment and diagnostic tools is essential.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the safe, responsible, and compliant use of a variety of tools and equipment. You will have a working knowledge of measurement equipment, such as verniers and micrometers. We are always interested in candidates with experience in aerospace or highly regulated background.
You will be able to work effectively both independently, using your own initiative, and as part of a team. You will also be PC literate.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate experience of working within a high-performance culture, consistently achieving objectives and targets within tight timescales. You will have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to carry out the assembly of units as required and be able to pass any job-related assessments where applicable.
