Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for an Aerospace Quality Auditor to join our Integrated Management System (IMS) team at Bishop\’s Cleeve. This role will support us in ensuring compliance, continual improvement, and excellence across our IMS approvals and processes.

Please note that experience with Aerospace regulations such as AS9100 are essential for this role.
The Role
As the Aerospace Quality Auditor, you\’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our Integrated Management System (IMS) meets the highest standards of compliance and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Head of IMS Compliance, you\’ll be responsible for verifying that the IMS is effectively implemented, maintained, and aligned with Ontic\’s policies, objectives, and key performance indicators.
You\’ll lead and conduct internal audits according to the approved schedule, ensuring that our processes and procedures not only meet the requirements of international standards but also reflect the real working practices within the business. You\’ll communicate findings clearly, raise non-conformances where necessary, and work closely with teams across the organisation to drive corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
This role requires a strong eye for detail, a passion for quality, and the ability to influence and guide colleagues to uphold best practices. You\’ll also ensure that all audits are carried out objectively and impartially, maintaining Ontic\’s commitment to regulatory excellence.
Additional to the above, the role will also involve Continuous Improvement activities to ensure our processes evolve and adapt as required.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified Internal Auditor to the ISO9001/AS9100 standard, with a solid understanding of associated regulations and standards such as AQAP, AS9102, Part 21G, Part 145, ISO 14001, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001. You have a proven track record of conducting audits, managing CAPA processes, and supporting compliance improvements in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and proficiency in systems such as Q-Pulse, Net-Inspect, and MS Office/ERP platforms are key. You\’ll also need to demonstrate sound judgement, objectivity, and the ability to make balanced decisions that consider wider business implications.
As this role involves frequent travel across the UK, flexibility and adaptability are essential.
