You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of Military and Civil customer relationships, maximising customer satisfaction and delivering on sales plans for OE Material. You’ll be responsible for delivering medium-and long-term strategies for your portfolio of customers and their respective product lines. You’ll manage and coordinate pricing, RFQs and RFPs with the support of the Estimating team, to ensure maximum value creation across every aspect of the business. You’ll create price lists and catalogues where applicable and lead negotiations of Long Term Agreements as required. You’ll build strong relationships with your designated customers and resolve their problems and complaints where necessary. In addition, you’ll analyse the market and commercial activity to ensure that inventory levels and lead times are appropriate to meet customer requirements, whilst providing the opportunity to grow the reactive sales channel. You’ll provide forecasts of customer demand for products into business planning, whilst monitoring order processing, on-time delivery and operational performance.
You’ll have experience in a customer-focused role, ideally where you are dealing with key accounts and/or repeat business. You’ll need the confidence to communicate with customers during difficult times, and the tenacity to navigate independently in a role. Previous experience within engineering is not required; you’ll be working closely with our talented engineers in this role, and they’ll be able to explain everything you need to communicate with our customers.
