Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our Continuous Improvement team where you'll support us in driving improvements in line with business strategies. This role will be based at our Bishops Cleeve & Staverton sites in Cheltenham.
What will you be doing?
- Working cross-functionally to drive improvements throughout our ROW (Rest of World) business in line with the strategy set out by our Site Directors.
- Nurturing engagement and managing change through a series of complex and high-profile projects which will initially focus on process improvements.
- Identifying areas for Continuous Improvement as well as taking up the challenges identified by others.
- Creating an annual calendar of improvement activity and measuring all successes against a targeted business KPI.
About you
- Excited by change with experience in Continuous Improvement engagement, management, and execution.
- Proficient user of Power BI with the ability to develop/create complex visuals.
- Working understanding of LSS (Lean Six Sigma) Black Belt preferred; applications from LSS Green Belts are welcome.
- A self-starter who can run their own calendar work to guidelines, utilising resources from across the business.
- Mindful of strategic business aims and the impact on departments, ensuring scheduling of projects does not overlap with other aims or resources.
- Able to assess tasks for elimination or delegation to team members.
