Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is recruiting for an Aerospace Quality Auditor - Site Lead to support our new Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Tewkesbury.

As Aerospace Quality Auditor - Site Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring Ontic’s MRO operations remain fully compliant with our Integrated Management System (IMS) approvals, including Part 145, ISO 9001/AS9100, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards. You’ll take ownership of the site’s audit programme, leading and coordinating both internal and external audits while promoting a proactive culture of compliance and continual improvement. Acting under the direction of the Head of IMS Compliance, you’ll guide auditors and operational teams to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.

You’ll plan, conduct, and report on audits, manage non-conformances, and drive corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) through to completion. As the IMS focal point for the site, you’ll ensure compliance is maintained, changes are managed effectively, and improvements are harmonised across the wider business. You’ll also act as the site lead during external regulatory and standards audits, liaising directly with auditors and providing reports and recommendations that support data-driven decision-making. This is a highly visible role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across Ontic’s new MRO site, working collaboratively to uphold and strengthen our reputation for excellence, safety, and quality.

At Ontic, our culture is integral to making sure we enjoy our work and deliver for our customers. While we look for the right skillset, we’re also looking for someone who will thrive within our culture of recognition, empowerment, and shared success. You’re a technically skilled and detail-oriented quality professional with experience working within aerospace or other regulated industries. You’re confident leading audits, influencing cross-functional teams, and challenging processes constructively to drive continuous improvement.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Lead Auditor certification to ISO 9001 or AS9100
  • Strong working knowledge of Part 145 and other management system standards (ISO 14001, 27001, 45001, 22301)
  • Proven CAPA and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and influencing abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with tools such as Q-Pulse or Net-Inspect
  • Flexibility to travel regularly within the UK (up to 80%)

You’re proactive, adaptable, and passionate about maintaining the highest standards of compliance and quality. Above all, you understand the importance of collaboration and continuous improvement in achieving operational excellence.

At Ontic we care about your financial, physical, and mental wellness, so we offer a range of benefits to support this. We care about what matters to you and have a valued culture of recognition and empowerment, accompanied by benefits that support work/life balance. Our benefits package highlights include:

  • Up to 29 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
