Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a number of Stores Operatives to join our Logistics team on a 6 month fixed term contract located at our Bishops Cleeve site. This role also offers the possibility of an extension for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Stores Operative to join a busy and fast-paced operational environment where you’ll play a key role in supporting the efficient running of the Stores function, helping ensure materials are stored, controlled, and issued accurately to support operational and customer requirements.

As a Stores Operative, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the Stores area, ensuring materials are accurately picked, stored, and issued in line with operational requirements and procedures. This is a hands-on opportunity within a fast-moving manufacturing environment, ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering high standards of accuracy and organisation.

You will be:

  • Working collaboratively within a supportive and inclusive team environment.
  • Supporting with maintaining accurate stock records within the ERP system while ensuring the stores environment remains safe, organised, and compliant with quality and HSE standards at all times.
  • Playing an active role in supporting stock location processes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across the stores and logistics operation.

To be successful in this role you'll need to ideally have previous experience working within a stores, warehouse, or logistics environment and be comfortable working within a fast-paced operational setting. You’ll be organised, reliable, and proactive, with good attention to detail and confidence using computer systems and ERP platforms to manage stock and materials accurately. Experience within a manufacturing or aerospace environment would be advantageous, although not essential. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys working as part of a team, with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexibility, and pride in their work.
