Job purpose
- To demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontex Healthcare range of products for the management of incontinence and to keep up to date with any product developments, the introduction of new products and any changes to product specifications.
- Maintain a good knowledge of the competitor products and the conversion tables.
- To ensure that the training & education requirements of the Ontex Healthcare customers are met in line with the SLA / Contract, coordinated by the National Sales Manager.
- To promote the best use of the range of the disposable continence products manufactured by Ontex Healthcare, considering profitability and sustainability.
- Understanding the B2B platform and explore opportunities in the Healthcare Market.
- To investigate and resolve any product concerns, following the Business Unit reporting and follow up procedure.
- To report back on territory activity and market intelligence.
- Share information with colleagues in support of a uniform approach to the market, via the Ontex CRM system.
- To ensure effective use of the CRM system and adhere to the standard operating procedures.
- Actively participate in regular Territory reviews, Nurse Advisor meetings and National Sales meetings.
Main responsibilities and key tasks
- To ensure that the needs of Ontex customers are met in line with their contract or Service Level Agreement.
- Attend the customer QBR (Quarterly Business Review) and Annual Review meetings with Ontex colleagues.
- Provide a Quarterly report of all the training, education and visits carried out on behalf of the Customers(s).
- To provide education and training across the Multi-Professional teams across Acute, Community and B2B customers as required.
- To present product demonstrations and educational seminars to large groups of healthcare professionals and/or members of the public.
- To support any product evaluations e.g. Hospitals, Care Homes and Community.
- To respond to product concerns and attend joint service user visits if required, accompanied by a member of the NHS Trust staff.
- To support customers with the provision and interpretation of product information and technical data to deliver best practice for users and cost effectiveness for the Customers.
- To maintain customer records and reporting activity on a daily basis using the CRM system.
- Maintain compliance to local Business Unit and wider Ontex Standard Operating Procedures.
- To maintain up to date knowledge of the management of incontinence through in-house training, external training and links to professional bodies e.g. ACA or equivalent.
- Ensure that the Outlook Calendar is populated with all confirmed appointments, Nurse Advisor Meetings, Sales Meetings and Annual Leave.
Job requirements
Educational requirement
- Registered Nurse (NMC) or equivalent qualification.
- The promotion of Continence and the Management of incontinence course or equivalent.
- Further and adult education training and education certificate or equivalent.
Experience requirement
- 2 to 5 Years post registration experience in Primary Care, Secondary Care or Tertiary/ Private Care.
- Urology or continence experience.
- A comprehensive understanding of the NHS/Health Boards.
- Good Interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Process oriented.
- Clear communicators with the ability to confidently deliver training presentations.
- Ability to plan and manage their own workload.
- Ability to work independently, as well as being part of a team.
- A full UK driving license- with no more than 3 points.
- Flexibility- there may be occasional on-call work or you may be required to run some training sessions for twilight or night duty HCPs.
- When you are training carers or family members you may need to do visits after their working day.

- Support the Account Manager in identifying the DMUs (Decision Making Units) for existing direct and indirect customers and prospects.
- To work in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures paying particular attention to Health and Safety at all times.
- Maintain an awareness of any market trends, new innovations/technology or product developments within the market-report to the National Sales Manager.
- Any other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably required from time to time.

- To keep up to date with the Ontex Local and Ontex Global structure.
