Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Construction Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in various stages of construction projects, ensuring that building works are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. Duties
- Assisting with the preparation of construction sites, including setting out and levelling ground
- Erecting scaffolding, formwork, and temporary structures as required
- Handling and installing building materials such as bricks, concrete, timber, and steel
- Operating basic construction tools and machinery in accordance with safety guidelines
- Supporting the team in carrying out tasks such as plastering, painting, and finishing work
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and site protocols
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to prevent accidents or delays
- Collaborating with supervisors and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Prior experience in building construction or related trades is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to construction sites
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to travel between sites is necessary
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the construction process
