Responsibilities:
- Plan, research, and produce high‑quality technical documentation with a focus on S1000D‑structured content and material written in Simplified Technical English (STE).
- Work closely with engineers, project leads, and subject matter experts to collect, verify, and clarify detailed technical information.
- Convert engineering details into clear, accurate, and user‑oriented documentation for operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
- Oversee version control and documentation updates throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with engineering changes and releases.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years working experience producing aerospace documentation using S1000D and Simplified Technical English (STE).
- Illustrated Parts Data (IPD) experience.
- Experience with Document Management Systems and robust version‑control practices.
- BSc or HNC/HND in Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related discipline – an advantage.
- English – Mother Tongue Proficiency.
- Proficiency with industry‑standard authoring tools such as Arbortext Editor, Adobe FrameMaker.
- Prior experience documenting Ground Based Air Defence systems – an advantage.
