This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the water industry's most critical challenges while developing your expertise across data, network operations, and strategic resolution planning. Onsite is part of the South Staffordshire Group – a 3,000-strong organisation behind South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, and several leading utility support businesses – offering long-term development and career progression.

To carry out the safe and efficient installation of Portadam systems in line with company standards and client expectations. The role involves preparing equipment, working on-site, and ensuring health and safety compliance at all times. The installer will represent the company professionally, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a high standard of service delivery.

The Role:

  • Review job packs, risk assessments, and method statements before starting work.
  • Conduct vehicle, equipment, and PPE checks to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Travel to site safely and on time, wearing correct PPE and company uniform.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues on-site.
  • Carry out dynamic risk assessments and work in line with all health and safety procedures.
  • Deliver works to required standards, timescales, and client expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment throughout the job.
  • Complete job sheets, timesheets, and digital records accurately using company systems (e.g., easyjob).
  • Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly and appropriately.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and ongoing training as required.
  • Use and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment responsibly.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally at all times, representing the company positively.
  • Support the development of team members through knowledge sharing and on-the-job guidance.
