Salary: Up to £62,000 plus Car Allowance

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Civil Engineering team, working on some of our largest and most high‑profile clean water and wastewater projects across the UK.

Based from our hub in Tipton, this role offers national project exposure, partnering with major clients such as South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, Affinity Water and the Environment Agency. Project values typically range from £250k to £5m+, requiring strong commercial leadership and close collaboration with engineers, project managers and operational teams. This is a pivotal role within a fast‑growing business, offering real scope to progress your career within a wider group environment.

The Role:

  • Provide sound commercial advice to Contracts Managers and operational teams
  • Deliver commercial analysis, reconciliation and reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Maintain accurate commercial records covering costs, programme changes, productivity and profitability
  • Implement and manage appropriate commercial controls in line with company procedures
  • Undertake site measurements and prepare interim valuations and final accounts
  • Prepare and issue subcontractor orders and manage commercial performance throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy and budget management
  • Support the wider QS function, including oversight and mentoring of a team of 3–4 people

What you’ll need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • UK experience within the civils sector (2+ years strongly preferred)
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence, negotiate and challenge where needed
  • Experience working on multi‑disciplinary civil projects
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to work away as required
