We are looking for an experienced Civils Foreman to join our team, leading the safe and efficient delivery of civils works on site. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring work is completed to programme, specification, and client expectations.
You’ll play a key part in maintaining high standards across health & safety, quality, and productivity, while supporting and developing site teams.
The Role:
- Supervise site activities across excavation, drainage, and reinstatement, ensuring work meets programme and specifications
- Lead teams and subcontractors, coordinating labour, plant, and materials effectively
- Maintain health & safety compliance, delivering briefings, managing permits, and controlling risks
- Ensure quality standards, carrying out checks and maintaining QA records
- Manage site resources and deliveries to maximise productivity and minimise delays
- Report progress and issues, acting as key link between site, Project Manager, and stakeholders
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience as a Civils Foreman or similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of drainage, excavation, and reinstatement works
- Sound understanding of health & safety regulations (NRSWA, HSG47, CDM)
- Ability to read drawings and set out works
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- NRSWA Supervisor
- CSCS Gold Card (or equivalent)
- First Aid at Work
- Temporary Works Supervisor
- Confined Space (desirable)
