This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the water industry's most critical challenges while developing your expertise across data, network operations, and strategic resolution planning. Onsite is part of the South Staffordshire Group – a 3,000-strong organisation behind South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, and several leading utility support businesses – offering long-term development and career progression.

We are looking for an experienced Civils Foreman to join our team, leading the safe and efficient delivery of civils works on site. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring work is completed to programme, specification, and client expectations. You’ll play a key part in maintaining high standards across health & safety, quality, and productivity, while supporting and developing site teams.

The Role:

  • Supervise site activities across excavation, drainage, and reinstatement, ensuring work meets programme and specifications
  • Lead teams and subcontractors, coordinating labour, plant, and materials effectively
  • Maintain health & safety compliance, delivering briefings, managing permits, and controlling risks
  • Ensure quality standards, carrying out checks and maintaining QA records
  • Manage site resources and deliveries to maximise productivity and minimise delays
  • Report progress and issues, acting as key link between site, Project Manager, and stakeholders

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience as a Civils Foreman or similar leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of drainage, excavation, and reinstatement works
  • Sound understanding of health & safety regulations (NRSWA, HSG47, CDM)
  • Ability to read drawings and set out works
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • CSCS Gold Card (or equivalent)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Temporary Works Supervisor
  • Confined Space (desirable)
