The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.
To support the efficient day-to-day running of the yard by maintaining organisation, managing equipment and stock, and assisting with logistics and basic maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Operations Manager on all yard activities and requirements
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard environment at all times
- Arrange, store, and manage equipment, with particular attention to UV lining equipment
- Prepare equipment and materials for upcoming jobs and site requirements
- Carry out deliveries to site as required
- Collect plant, tools, and equipment from suppliers and providers
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Perform basic maintenance on small generators, pumps, and similar equipment
- Keep accurate stock records, including tracking incoming and outgoing items
- Maintain maintenance logs and service records for equipment
- Identify damaged or faulty equipment and report issues promptly
- Support general yard operations and assist other team members when needed
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or similar environment (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK Driving License
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Practical, hands‑on approach to work
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment
- Forklift licence (training can be provided)
- Lorry/HGV driving licence (advantageous but not essential)
- Experience with plant, generators, pumps, or similar equipment
- Basic mechanical or maintenance knowledge
