OnSite is one of the UK’s leading providers of professional contracting services, with a proven track record in the successful delivery of projects and contracts across a broad spectrum of market sectors. OnSite Pipelines and Civil Engineering are looking to recruit an experienced Clean Water Supervisor to oversee the delivery of clean water infrastructure works.

The successful candidate will supervise field teams including surveyors and installation teams carrying out water meter installations and associated network works. The role involves coordinating day-to-day operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. While the role includes traditional supervisory responsibilities, OnSite approaches this position as a Field Delivery Lead, meaning the supervisor plays a central role in managing operational flow across surveying and installation activities, maintaining quality of field data, and ensuring strong customer engagement during works.

The role requires a proactive leader who can manage multiple teams, support operational performance, and ensure that work is delivered safely and professionally.

The Role:

  • Supervise and coordinate field teams including surveyors and installation crews delivering clean water infrastructure works.
  • Allocate and manage daily work activities across multiple sites to ensure programme targets are met.
  • Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with company procedures, industry regulations, and streetworks legislation.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and safety briefings to maintain a strong health and safety culture.
  • Monitor the quality of work and ensure accurate completion of field records and digital reporting systems.
  • Manage workflow between surveying and installation teams to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members, including mentoring new starters.
  • Engage professionally with customers, stakeholders, and members of the public during works.
  • Identify operational issues and elevate risks or delays to the Operations Manager where required.

What you’ll need:

  • Previous experience supervising teams within the water utilities sector.
  • Experience managing field teams, surveyors, or installation crews.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Good understanding of clean water infrastructure works.
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and streetworks regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and problem-solve effectively.
  • Confident using digital systems and mobile work management applications.

  • EUSR Water SHEA
  • Full UK Driving Licence
