Onsite is part of the South Staffordshire Group – a 3,000-strong organisation behind South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, and several leading utility support businesses – offering long-term development and career progression.
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable Operative to join our operational team. In this hands-on role, you will support the delivery of our services on customer sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with a Rig Leader and other team members to maintain excellent service quality and support the company’s reputation for professionalism and reliability.
The Role- Organisation & Preparation
- Follow instructions, arrive prepared with PPE, and assist with equipment and vehicle checks.
- Complete required paperwork and understand job documentation.
- Site Work
- Support safe equipment use and follow risk assessments.
- Look after equipment, report issues, and leave sites clean and safe.
- Accurately record time and follow quality procedures.
- Health & Safety
- Follow all H&S policies and wear PPE.
- Report hazards, near misses, and accidents immediately.
- Communication & Teamwork
- Communicate politely and work cooperatively with colleagues and clients.
- Maintain professional behaviour onsite.
- General
- Support new starters and attend required training.
- Identify and report potential business opportunities.
