Onsite is part of the South Staffordshire Group – a 3,000-strong organisation behind South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, and several leading utility support businesses – offering long-term development and career progression.
An exciting new opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor/Auditor to work alongside our QUENSH Manager. The role will primarily require supporting the business in developing, checking and enforcing policies and procedures to control critical safety risks. You will also be responsible for safety audits and inspections across our UK-based sites, identifying opportunities for improvement while engaging with staff across all levels of the business. You’ll work from the Tipton hub while frequently travelling across the country and occasionally staying away from home working on numerous projects.
The Role
- Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Training employees on safety policies, procedures, and best practices in compliance with UK health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Maintaining safety records, preparing reports, and monitoring safety performance to ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation.
- Collaborating with other departments to address safety concerns and issues.
- Staying updated on the latest UK health and safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensuring that all CDM requirements are followed.
- Investigating accidents and near misses.
What you’ll need
- NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK)
- Demonstrate proficiency in analysing and interpreting data, with a keen attention to detail, combined with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and presenting where needed.
- Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, such as CDM 2015, LOLER & PUWER.
- Full driving license.
