About the role
Join ONSIDE and discover the role as a Wellbeing & Emotional Support Practitioner and work within an organisation and be part of a team of professionals working within Melocommunity hubs across Worcestershire to support children and young people (aged 0-25 years old) with their mental health and wellbeing.
A Wellbeing & Emotional Support Practitioner will work with children and young people providing early intervention and preventative emotional wellbeing and mental health services. Providing children and young people with the skills and techniques to better manage their own emotional wellbeing and improve their confidence and self-esteem. This will result in children and young people who cope better with stress, anxiety and life challenges, to enable them to participate fully in life.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with experience of working with children and young people ideally in a behavioural change or support role context.
You will have a proven ability to identify and understand individual needs and the skills required to inspire change, build rapport and be creative in your approach. Along with ability to equip children & young people with tools and techniques to manage low level mental ill health, improve their confidence and create a personalised plan to address issues that are impacting negatively on their lives.
As well as, have a passion for ensuring children and young people have access to the support and interventions needed to improve their lives and ensure that their best interests are at the heart of everything you do.
