About the role
Join ONSIDE as a Children & Young People Team Lead to provide both hands-on service delivery and day-to-day team leadership, supporting a dedicated team and making a direct impact on young people’s lives. This is a dual role combining team leadership and frontline delivery. You will lead and manage a team of Wellbeing Advisors, providing day-to-day supervision, support and motivation, coordinate service delivery across Herefordshire, ensuring high-quality, accessible support, lead the Young Ambassadors programme, supporting youth voice and volunteering opportunities and work with the Deputy Head of Services to monitor performance, analyse data and meet reporting requirements contributing to the development of the Strong Young Minds and Strong Young Minds Reaching Out services.
Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will also deliver support directly to young people, providing one-to-one support, brief interventions, group work and workshops and supporting children and young people aged 11-18 years old with emotional wellbeing challenges, low-level mental health needs and self-harm and coping strategies.
Please note that this position will be required to work some evening hours within the working week and visiting locations within Hereford, Bromyard and Colwall.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has experience in line management or team leadership and has worked with children and young people in a mental health, wellbeing or youth work setting. You will need to be able to engage, motivate and inspire both young people and staff and have a strong understanding of mental health, emotional wellbeing and safeguarding for children and young people and are confident in coordinating multi-site or community-based services. You will be a supportive and approachable leader, who is highly organised, with strong communication and team coordinator skills.
