About the role

As an Employment Specialist, you’ll be the driving force behind our innovative Connect to Work programme, supporting individuals to overcome barriers and build brighter futures.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver person-centred, evidence-based support using models like Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF).
  • Provide 1:1 coaching and mentoring, helping people set goals, build confidence, and take practical steps toward sustainable employment.
  • Partner with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities and provide ongoing in-work support for long-term success.
  • Work collaboratively with colleges, training providers, and community organisations to deliver joined-up services.
  • Promote inclusive employment practices across Worcestershire.

As an Employment Specialist, you will have the opportunity to change lives every day, supporting people to achieve independence and resilience, build strong relationships with employers and community partners and work in a supportive, values-driven team that celebrates creativity and difference.

We have 2 opportunities available to work 25 hours per week. Either covering North Worcestershire where the base is to be confirmed or covering South Worcestershire where you will be based at ONSIDE’s Health & Wellbeing Riverside Hub in Evesham.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an Employment Specialist who is open-minded, non-judgemental, has a respectful attitude together with an ability to easily create partnerships with people from all backgrounds and communities, based on trust.

An Employment Specialist role would suit someone with previous training or experience in motivational coaching and interviewing. And has demonstrable experience and skills in supporting vulnerable people into paid work and/or who has experience supporting individuals who have mental ill health.
