About the role
Join ONSIDE as a Community Mental Health Link Worker in Bromsgrove. You will work with a team of professionals and partner with District Council services to support residents experiencing mental ill health, using a person‑centred approach to enable positive change, sustain tenancies and prevent homelessness.
Responsibilities
- Support residents’ mental health needs and broader determinants of health and wellbeing.
- Help break down barriers between housing, drug and alcohol support services, and primary and secondary mental health services.
- Facilitate one‑to‑one and group support, drawing on mentoring or coaching experience where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience working positively with individuals with mental ill health.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and communicate effectively.
- Understanding of how poor mental health can impact a person’s life and the complex social and emotional challenges they face.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching or group facilitation is an advantage.
