Overview
Onshore Technical is recruiting for an experienced Pre-Construction Project Manager to support gas infrastructure projects across the UK. This role will suit someone with a strong background in the high-pressure gas sector, who is confident leading pre-construction activities including bids, tenders, planning, and technical delivery. You will work closely with the Operations Manager, playing a key role in shaping projects from early engagement through to construction handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support pre-construction activities from tender through to project handover
- Manage tender submissions, timelines, and client engagement
- Develop project programmes from first principles (NEC4)
- Review technical documentation and identify risks and opportunities
- Produce and manage Technical Queries (TQs)
- Support estimators with subcontractor engagement and pricing
- Coordinate subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Lead the design phase post-award and support mobilisation
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience within the UK high-pressure gas sector
- Strong background in gas construction and civils projects
- Experience working with clients such as Cadent, National Gas, etc.
- Proven experience supporting bids, tenders, and pre-construction delivery
- Strong NEC4 contract knowledge
- Ability to develop programmes from first principles
- Site-based background preferred
