Onpoint Care Recruitment is expanding our Early Years team, and we’re looking for warm, enthusiastic, and reliable Nursery Assistants to support a variety of nurseries across East Sussex. We offer placements in:
- General nursery support
- Baby rooms, toddler rooms, and preschool rooms
- SEN/SEND support (1:1 and small‑group)
- Long‑term placements for consistency

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting and supervising children through engaging, age‑appropriate activities
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and well‑organised environment
- Assisting with daily routines including meals, play, toileting, and rest periods
- Building positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
- Providing emotional support, reassurance, and encouragement
- Completing basic administrative or record‑keeping duties
- Supporting outings, activities, and learning opportunities throughout the day
- Adapting confidently to different nurseries, routines, and team styles
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who are confident, caring, and committed to supporting young children’s learning and development. You should have:
- Experience within a nursery or Early Years setting
- A good understanding of early childhood development and EYFS principles
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to adapt quickly to different environments
- A positive, nurturing, and professional approach
Requirements
- DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
- Confidence in supporting routines, learning, and behaviour management
Desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification
- Experience supporting SEN/SEND within an Early Years environment
