ONNEC is looking for an experienced

Senior BIM Technician to support our CAD, design and project teams across BIM design activity.

This role requires a highly skilled BIM professional with strong experience in MEP project environments and ideally knowledge of IT infrastructure within data centre and enterprise environments.

The successful candidate will create, modify and coordinate 3D models using BIM software including Revit and Navisworks, working from 2D drawings and collaborating with other trade services to produce accurate, coordinated models.

The

Senior BIM Technician will support BIM coordination activity, attend BIM coordination meetings, identify and resolve clashes between disciplines using Navisworks, and ensure models are accurately tagged and annotated in line with technical specifications and BIM Execution Plan requirements.

What you’ll be doing as our Senior BIM Technician

  • Create and modify 3D models using BIM software such as Revit and Navisworks.
  • Model components from 2D drawings and produce coordinated models in collaboration with other trade services.
  • Populate models with essential annotation data, ensuring components are correctly tagged and annotated.
  • Use Navisworks to identify and resolve clashes between disciplines.
  • Understand and work in line with BIM Execution Plan requirements.
  • Attend BIM coordination meetings and raise any issues or concerns with the project team.
  • Produce 2D drawings on relevant sheets for use in Auto CAD.
  • Support the CAD department with BIM requirements.

What we’re looking for in our Senior BIM Technician

  • Relevant experience working as a BIM Technician within an MEP project environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of

Revit, Navisworks and Auto CAD .

  • Experience working within a construction environment and collaborating with stakeholders and other professional trades.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and technical design requirements.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Project, Visio and Power Point.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage high workloads.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure within data centre and enterprise environments.
  • Experience producing structured cabling drawings, including floor plans, building schematics, cabinet/frame layouts, cable densities, detail drawings, pre-termination schedules and isometric diagrams.
