We are seeking an experienced
Global Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to lead and continuously improve our global HSE framework.
Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will drive compliance, risk management and best practice across all regions while promoting a strong culture of safety, environmental responsibility and continual improvement.
This global role requires regular international travel and close collaboration with teams across multiple regions and time zones, supporting the delivery of consistent HSE standards and best practice throughout the Group.
- What you’ll be doing as our Global Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager:
- Support and deliver the Group HSE strategy and performance objectives.
- Provide leadership and expert guidance on HSE matters across the business.
- Promote a proactive, prevention-focused safety culture.
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex HSE matters.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and regulatory requirements across all regions.
- Maintain and develop HSE policies, procedures and controls.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise on risks and compliance obligations.
- Management Systems
- Own and continually improve the Group's ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Maintain certification readiness and support external audits and inspections.
- Support the integration of HSE requirements with wider management systems.
- Operational HSE
- Support regional teams in implementing effective HSE controls.
- Oversee risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Conduct audits and site visits to identify improvement opportunities.
- Promote consistent standards across contractors and supply chain partners.
- Performance & Development
- Monitor HSE objectives, KPIs and improvement plans.
- Analyse performance data and incident trends to drive improvements.
- Deliver training, coaching and awareness programmes.
- Engage stakeholders across Operations, HR, Procurement, Facilities and Compliance.
- What We're Looking For inour Global Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager:
Degree qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
Significant HSE leadership experience within engineering, construction, infrastructure or technical environments.
- Experience managing HSE frameworks across multiple sites or regions.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Experience supporting certification audits and regulatory compliance activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
- Chartered status, or working towards chartered status, with IOSH, IEMA or similar professional body.
- ISO Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualification.
- Experience in a global or matrix organisation.
- Experience managing contractor and supply chain HSE risks.
- Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
Flexibility to support operational requirements across different time zones.
