This key role is a mixture of Account Management and Business Development. It is suited to an excellent relationship builder, who will embed themselves in our existing accounts, ensuring that we are delivering our services to a high standard and ensuring customer satisfaction and enabling them to rely on their Account Manager for trusted advice. This role will also have a responsibility to identify new opportunities through those built relationships within the account, suppliers or externally.
Onnec provides I.T and Infrastructure service solution to many of the World’s leading financial and technology companies, delivering in office and data centre environments. This key role will be responsible in targeting end-users within these sectors, both locally and globally, promoting Onnecs brand, portfolio of solutions and services to secure new clients
The position will have access to in-house marketing collateral / activities and the back-up of technical subject matter experts within Onnec. The ultimate aim of the Business Manager position is to ensure that their clients are purchasing a full range of infrastructure services offered by Onnec.
What you’ll be doing as our Business Manager:
1. Account Management
- Managing and sustaining accounts and maximising revenues.
- Being accountable for and managing quarterly account planning / strategy and pipeline
- Involved in commercial decisions that impact the revenue streams of those accounts
- Liaising with Marketing to manage integrated campaign execution
- Identifying market trends to grow incremental revenue / opportunities
- Dealing with all aspects of the accounts you are responsible for
- Achieving sales targets
- Attending client meetings where necessary
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients
- Manage the process from initial opportunity to ensuring successful service delivery
- Attend and contribute to sales meetings, training courses and presentations
- Uncover new business opportunities in a pro-active and innovative manner.
- To achieve the annual set targets as agreed with the Sales Director.
- To ensure all the clients within your responsibility are kept up to date with the products and services being offered by Onnec.
- To build personal and company relationships with all the clients within their responsibility.
- Own and communicate Account Development for our key / target’s clients.
- To ensure that all pricing, proposals and tender documentation is returned in a professional and timely manner as requested by the clients is within your responsibility.
- To feedback client information to Onnec.
- To monitor that the service levels being provided by Onnec are in accordance with client expectations and to escalate accordingly.
- Identify and develop a strong Web of Influence of all relevant stakeholders.
- To maintain relationships with external suppliers, on pre-sales commercial issues.
- Own the end-to-end sales process through the lifecycle of sales project i.e. Request for Proposal (RFP).
3. New Business Responsibility
- To introduce, if necessary, other internal Onnec staff at the appropriate time within the development of an account or a specific new business deal.
- To identify tangible opportunities for growth, service, geography, location and site.
- To ensure the account is being serviced by Onnec to the highest level of quality.
- Develop an action plan of sales / business activities to help convert business opportunities.
- To ensure the new business deal is moving towards a positive conclusion in Onnec favor.
- Communicate the potential client opportunities proactively with relevant Onnec stakeholders.
4. General – Internal Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project and company account plans for all clients within your responsibility.
- Maintain an accurate log of events for opportunities and accounts within the company Sales CRM database (Dynamics).
- Maintain an accurate and up to-date weekly rolling forecast on the company Sales CRM database (Dynamics).
- Maintain an accurate and up to-date pipeline on the company Sales CRM database (Dynamics).
- To ensure that client orders and requests for works are channeled through sales support in accordance with Onnec processes.
- Ensure that a request for internal technical support is channeled in accordance with Onnecs processes.
- Assist (where necessary) in initiatives driven by Marketing when requested.
- Facilitate the arrangement of formal sales / design / operations proposal compilation kick off meetings.
- Maintain an accurate and up to-date diary in Outlook / CRM
- To give a timely response to a request for information from the Sales Director.
What we’re looking for in our Business Manager:
- Sales opening and closing techniques.
- Experience selling, I.T & Infrastructure and/or data centre solutions to end-users is beneficial but not essential.
- Understanding of the IT industry and its various elements -is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong business and commercial acumen
- RFP process (Sales Processes)
- Familiarity in utilsiing Sales Database – CRM
- People centered person who enjoys interacting with lots of different stakeholders
- Results-oriented
- Self motivated and able to work in a team.
- Computer literate – Use of Microsoft products, Word and Excel
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Work well under pressure.
- Enthusiastic and Dynamic personality
