We are looking for an experienced Apprenticeship Data and Compliance Coordinator to lead the administration, data management and quality assurance of our apprenticeship provision. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our apprenticeship programme at Sandwell College.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end data management of our apprenticeship provision.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of learner records—from enrolment through to completion—while maintaining full compliance with ESFA funding regulations.
  • Lead on internal audits, support external inspections, manage ILR data through systems like PICS and PDSAT, and respond to audit findings.
  • Issue employer contracts, manage the Apprenticeship Service Account, and coordinate employer incentive payments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and maintain a proactive approach to keeping up with changing funding rules.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Full Level 3 qualification or substantial relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in apprenticeship data and compliance.
  • Proven track record of managing ILR data using PICS.
  • Experience interpreting PDSAT reports and applying ESFA funding rules.
  • Experience supporting audits and inspections, including Ofsted and ESFA.
  • Familiarity with OneFile and the DfE Apprenticeship Service.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of an organisation.
