An exciting opportunity within the Science team at West Herts College for a full-time lecturer. The role will teach Science courses ranging from BTEC Level 2 to Level 3 and may involve delivery of the Extended Science Degree.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and deliver course content across applied science, forensic science, and psychology/criminal investigation modules.
- Plan lessons and embed English and Maths skills within teaching.
- Provide prompt, detailed student assessment and personal tutoring, including target setting.
- Support continuous improvement and maintain high performance standards within the department.
Qualifications & Skills
- Teaching experience and a broad science knowledge; physics and chemistry background preferred.
- Strong communication and tutoring skills.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, 37 hours per week at the Watford campus.
- Open until 24 June 2026, start date August 2026.
