Are you passionate about professional cookery and inspiring the next generation of chefs? Our thriving Food Academy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chef Lecturer to join our team at the Watford Campus.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to teach and mentor students across Levels 1 to 3 in both Practical Cookery and Culinary Theory, including food safety, health & safety, nutrition, and employability skills. You’ll play a key role in shaping future professionals for the fast‑paced hospitality industry. You’ll also be responsible for running our College Training Restaurant, delivering real‑world experience to students during lunchtime and one evening per week during term time.
What We’re Looking For
- Has at least 5 years’ experience in the catering industry, ideally in a restaurant setting.
- Holds a Level 3 Professional Chefs qualification.
- Is enthusiastic about teaching and supporting learners of all abilities.
- Has a strong understanding of culinary theory and practical cookery.
- Is committed to high standards of assessment and feedback.
- Ideally holds a teaching qualification (training and mentoring available if not).
- Has experience in personal tutoring, target setting, and Functional Skills delivery (desirable).
