About the Role
You will be part of the Media team, who are responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of learners engaged in Media Production based programmes at levels 2 and 3. You may, where appropriate, be required to work in a cross curricular capacity relating to your specialist skills and knowledge. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated, professional individual, qualified in an appropriate discipline, to join a rapidly expanding and popular department.
The role will require the successful candidate to plan, deliver and assess media qualifications at Level 2 and 3. This will involve supporting students to create, edit and broadcast/live stream a range of media products and content. Theoretical delivery will also be required. It is essential you are qualified to a minimum of degree level in the appropriate subject or have relevant industry experience. The ideal candidate will also hold a relevant teaching qualification.
You must have the ability to build positive relationships, displaying excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills, demonstrating a flexible and professional attitude. You will be a highly self‑motivated, forward‑thinking, energetic and driven individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and a strong sense of autonomy. Whilst experience is valuable, we do welcome applications from newly qualified teachers or those wanting to complete a PGCE whilst working.
This post carries 828 delivery hours on an annual basis for a full-time contract. The post holder will be expected to take on the role of personal tutor and deliver the college tutorial programme to a group or groups of students. The role will require you to embed the college’s values; Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Ambition and Compassion.
