We are seeking an experienced and motivated Student Services Manager to lead our Admissions, Customer Service and Student Financial Support services across all college campuses. This is a key operational leadership role responsible for delivering a high-quality, responsive and student-focused service. You will manage the end-to-end admissions process from application through to enrolment, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and alignment with recruitment objectives. In addition, you will oversee the effective administration of student financial support, including bursaries and Adult Learning Support (ALS), ensuring compliance with funding regulations and audit requirements. You will lead and develop a high-performing team, drive service improvements, and provide high-quality management information and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the Admissions, Customer Service and Financial Support teams to deliver high-quality student experience
- Oversee the timely and accurate processing of student applications and enrolment activities
- Manage bursary funds and student financial support, including budget monitoring and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with funding regulations, audit requirements and relevant legislation
- Monitor admissions data, application trends and conversion rates to support recruitment planning
- Oversee Adult Learning Support (ALS) claims and maximise funding opportunities
- Produce reports and management information for senior leadership on admissions, financial support and funding performance
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Identify and implement service improvements across student services functions
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience of managing and developing teams
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including report writing and presenting information
- Experience of working collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce meaningful management information
- A proactive approach to service improvement and problem solving
Location
The post is based at Nuneaton but will require the successful candidate to work across all campus locations.
