Lecturer, Public Services – Southend Campus, Full Time
We are looking for individuals with experience in the Police, Fire Service, Prison Service, Armed Forces, sport, fitness, coaching, personal training or related public service roles to inspire learners and help them prepare for the physical and mental demands of a career in public service.
You do not need a traditional teaching background; industry experience and a desire to develop young people will be supported as you transition into education.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering course content to learners in public service programmes.
- Preparing learners for real‑world careers, including physical and mental resilience training.
- Working collaboratively within a supportive team to help students succeed inside and outside the classroom.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in the public services or in sport/fitness coaching.
- Willingness to transition into an education role.
