The College is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Hair & Beauty team within the Department of Service Industries to support students and staff. The role of Facilitator is a key one in the College and department as the efficient maintenance of teaching areas is vital to learner success, as well as working as a team. This is a key post within the Hair and Beauty department to support staff and students within the Salons across the College sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, set up and maintain equipment for classes.
- Oversee its safe storage.
- Provide an intrinsic role supporting and offering advice on technical issues.
- Occasionally give practical demonstrations to small groups of students and offer your industry experience.
- Ensure stock levels of products are maintained.
- Liaise with suppliers to source equipment and products meeting the needs of staff and learners to support the assessments throughout all Hair qualifications.
Additional Information:
Main base will be Southend Campus but this post may cover all campuses if required. Anyone starting midway through the academic year will have their monthly salary slightly reduced, as staff need to have worked a certain length of time through the academic year to be able to receive continued payment through the summer, when you won’t be expected to work. The actual figure would be calculated once a start date is confirmed. At the beginning of the next academic year the monthly salary will revert to 1/12th of the whole pro-rata salary quoted.
