We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Make‑Up Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching and inspire the next generation of creative professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic curriculum area and play a key role in shaping student success within our college. A background in beauty is desirable. This is a part‑time post, working 13 hours per week, based at our Southampton Campus.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Deliver inspiring teaching across classroom, workshop, and practical environments
- Plan, prepare and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to support progression
- Act as a Personal Tutor, supporting students’ academic development and wellbeing
- Implement high‑quality, student‑centred learning programmes
- Organise and support work placements and industry engagement opportunities
- Contribute to curriculum development and course improvement activities
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
- Ensure a well‑organised, creative, and stimulating learning environment
- Support student discipline processes and uphold college policies
- Engage in professional development to stay current with industry trends
- Designing course structure, delivery and assessment strategies
- Leading course teams and coordinating review and evaluation activities
- Monitoring quality assurance processes and assessment standards
- Ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements
- Tracking student progress, achievement, and destinations
- Supporting teaching staff and coordinating course delivery
Partnerships and Reputation:
Ensure that the college develops and maintains a constructive relationship with appropriate external stakeholders relevant to the postholder’s areas of responsibility.
Health and Safety:
Ensure that the Health and Safety policy and procedures operated by the college are adhered to and that all statutory requirements are met by all staff with postholder’s areas of responsibility.
