Salary: £24,521 per annum, pro rata. Actual salary will depend on contractual hours. 30 hrs per week.

Role And Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one‑to‑one and small group support, both in and out of the classroom, working closely with teaching and learning support colleagues.
  • Support students in line with their individual needs and/or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Assist students to fully participate in learning activities on an equal basis with their peers.
  • Support teaching staff in maintaining a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
  • Assist with student‑related administration, including updating individual learning support plans.
  • Ensure support provided is effective in meeting student needs and contributes to positive outcomes and progression.
  • Contribute to the development of the Learning Support team by attending meetings and training.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Support students in the use of SEN specialist equipment where required.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks relating to students with additional support needs.

Skills And Experience:

  • Experience of working with young people in an education or support setting (or the potential to develop into the role).
  • Experience supporting individuals to achieve their goals.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with students and staff.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSE Grade 4/C in English and Maths (or equivalent).

Desirable:

  • Level 2 NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting students with SEND.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
