About the Role
As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across all Sheffield College sites. You will be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning tasks are carried out efficiently to a high standard, following the college’s Health & Safety procedures. Working as part of a team, you will help ensure that all areas are kept clean, presentable, and safe for students, staff, and visitors. Please note this role will be shift work, with the earliest start time being 5:00 am.
Main Responsibilities
- Cleaning, washing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and vacuum cleaning of designated areas to the required standard.
- Emptying litter bins and removing waste to designated disposal areas, ensuring correct disposal.
- Cleaning toilets and washrooms to the required standard where allocated.
- Spray cleaning and scrubbing floors.
Salary and Hours
£25,877 per annum (pro‑rata for 15 hours per week).
