About The Role
Are you a master of your craft ready to trade the site for the classroom? This is a standout opportunity to put down the saw, step off the joists, and step into a role where your legacy isn’t just the buildings you’ve worked on, but the skilled professionals you’ll create. Whether you are a time-served Joiner looking to give back or an experienced Assessor seeking a fresh challenge, we want your expertise. Our Construction department is evolving into a national Centre of Excellence, and we need passionate, industry-hardened professionals to help us shape a curriculum that is as sharp as your best chisel. In this role, you will lead the way in delivering outstanding training across Level 1‑3 study programmes, adult courses, and apprenticeships. From the precision of the workshop to the theory of the classroom, you will provide the high‑class education that turns a novice into a specialist.
Why This Role?
- Job Satisfaction: There is nothing quite like the pride of seeing a student master a complex joint or finish a project because of your mentorship.
- A New Chapter: Take your years of site knowledge and apply them in a stable, rewarding environment.
- Shape the Industry: You’ll have a direct hand in developing a modern, creative curriculum that meets the needs of today’s construction world.
Responsibilities

- Be Creative: Develop innovative learning resources—from traditional hand‑tool techniques to modern digital methods—to keep learners engaged and future‑ready.
- Be a Team Player: Work closely with colleagues and management to ensure our department hits its strategic goals and remains a leader in trade education.
