The Role
Are you an experienced Teacher of English or Maths with a proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching, learning, and student progress? Do you have the ability to lead and inspire other practitioners in self-evaluation, adaptation, and continuous improvement? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
As a Lecturer, you will join our dynamic English & Maths department, delivering GCSE and Functional Skills in your subject area to learners on study programmes. You will play a key role in driving student success through high-quality teaching, curriculum development linked to vocational areas, and a strong focus on attendance and achievement.
As a Quality Lead, you will work closely with the Head of Teaching, Learning and Assessment to champion excellence in teaching, learning and assessment across the English and Maths curriculum. You will lead on the development and promotion of outstanding pedagogical practices, ensuring the needs of students, employers and stakeholders are fully met.
What are we looking for?
- A degree in a relevant subject discipline
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning in English or Maths
- Strong awareness of current developments in your subject and Ofsted inspection practices
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly
