As a Progress Coach, your duties will include:
- Providing comprehensive advisory and pastoral support to students and potential students.
- Providing impartial guidance.
- Delivering a comprehensive programme of group tutorials.
- Providing pre-course information.
- Arranging subsequent on-programme non-academic tutorial support for all students.
- Involvement in the safeguarding of students.
- Liaising with external agencies.
- Carrying out reviews and monitoring student progress.
- Setting achievable, meaningful goals and maintaining records.
You should have:
- An NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent.
- Relevant guidance related experience.
- A good knowledge of further education and academic progression routes.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- (Or be willing to achieve) Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy e.g. GCSE Maths and English.
