About The Role: The department of Building Services is looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Installation Programme Leader to join our well-established team. This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you will work closely with Programme Leaders and Heads of Areas to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across a range of Electrical Installation topics, aligned with industry standards and curriculum requirements.
- Supporting learners through their academic journey, including tutorials, progress reviews, Maths and English development and pastoral care.
- Responding to student and parent queries via phone, email, and in person.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments.
- Using data and digital systems to monitor performance and contribute to curriculum development.
- Participating in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and college events to support student success and employer engagement.
About The Person: The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills with a strong focus on learner engagement and professional standards. They will be well-organised, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Electrical Installation.
Essential Criteria:
- Level 2/GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Recognised Electrical Installation qualification at Level 3 or above
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training)
- Industry experience within the electrical sector
- Competence in using ICT to support teaching, learning, and assessment
- Ability to analyse learner data and contribute to progress tracking and reporting
