Join Our Business Development Team
We’re looking for a proactive and relationship‑driven Business Development Officer to help strengthen the College’s presence within our local communities and expand our partnerships with employers. This key role connects education with industry, ensuring our training and skills offer aligns with real business needs. Part‑time, permanent.
About the Department
The Business Development team plays a vital role in connecting the College with employers, supporting events, and ensuring our offer meets the skills and training needs of our communities. We maintain a highly visible presence across the region and work closely with curriculum teams to shape responsive, employer‑led provision.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Achieve sales targets for apprenticeships and other training provision, promoting the College’s full range of products and services.
- Develop new business opportunities and work with employers to identify skills and training needs.
- Build medium‑term strategic plans with larger clients to support their workforce development.
- Represent the College at networking events, promotional activities and employer engagement forums.
- Enhance the College’s reputation as an expert provider within supported sectors.
- Deliver consistent, high‑quality account management to ensure excellent stakeholder satisfaction.
- Lead and support employer groups, forums and events (e.g., NHS forums, DEMC, BAHA).
- Work closely with curriculum teams to align employer needs with programme delivery.
- Support partnerships with public sector organisations such as BCP Council Economic Development.
- Curate effective Employer Advisory Boards and design employer‑focused engagement events.
- Support apprenticeship recruitment, careers activities and work experience initiatives.
