The Role

A position has become available for an experienced and motivated individual to join the Plumbing Team. The student’s journey at City College Plymouth is at the core of what we do. As a department we continue to adapt to an ever evolving plumbing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and organising building assessment bays and framework supports.
  • Maintaining and keeping the workshops and stores in working order.
  • Keeping workshop stock up to date and ordering materials as needed.
  • Ensuring all tools, power tools, and PPE are in excellent condition.
  • Assisting tutors in the practical workshop by providing guidance to learners on practical tasks and training in preparation for assessments.

  • Problem Solving: Problem solving is essential in this role because the technician must identify and resolve issues with equipment, stock, materials, and workshop operations to ensure teaching staff and students can work safely and effectively without disruption.
