The Position
We’re looking for a Learning Support worker. The role is 30 hours per week, 35 weeks per year. Are you passionate about supporting young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)? We have a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping young people with SEND take their final steps towards adulthood and their future career. If you have had some experience in working with SEND previously, this is a chance to join a dynamic and developing team, shaping a unique learning support provision within a mainstream FE environment.
What Skills Are We Looking For
- GCSE or level 2 equivalent in Maths and English.
- A good understanding of high‑quality learning support for learners with SEND in a further education setting.
- Experience of providing support in the classroom that enables students to achieve identified goals.
Responsibilities For The Role
- Provide high‑quality support both in and out of the classroom.
- Work with teaching staff to enhance and promote a well‑managed learning environment, making adaptations to meet specific student’s needs where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records relating to learning support and work in accordance with the college quality requirements, in relation to assessment and monitoring of student progress.
