Who We Need
We are looking for a lecturer to deliver within our Uniformed Services department, who has experience of teaching, learning and assessment within a further educational setting. You will have knowledge and understanding of working with 16 to 18 year olds, as well as 19+ year old cohorts, and be able to evidence your achievements with this area. You will be dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate about joining our innovative faculty area. The successful applicant will be able to deliver accredited qualifications from Level 2 to Level 3. You will be a professional, responsible and confident lecturer who has the skills to inspire both students and colleagues alike, and the ability to innovatively create, deliver and achieve for our young people.
Contract Details
Fixed term contract (covering maternity leave) running ideally from 24th August 2026 – 28th May 2027.
What You Will Bring
With previous experience of teaching (teaching qualification desirable), you will have a practical, but creative approach that generates outstanding lessons that fully engage and inspire students, with ability to create innovative methods of learning that will support students’ and prepare them for progression to higher level learning and training.
For This Role We Are Looking For People Who
- As a minimum we’d expect a Level 3 Public Services qualification and a working knowledge of teaching content within the Public Services curriculum.
- A background working within the Uniformed Services sector would be desirable.
- Have experience of delivery to 16- to 18-year-olds and 19+ year old cohorts and are passionate about teaching in FE sector.
- Able to create and deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.
- Are committed to ensuring all our students make the best progress possible.
- Are able to work in a demanding and changing environment.
- Are able to bring current skills and awareness of digital technologies in teaching, learning and assessment.
