We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Multi-Skills Technician to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across our busy Further Education workshops and state-of-the-art Clean Energy Centre. This is a key role within our technical team, ensuring that our facilities, equipment and resources are safe, fully operational and aligned with current industry standards—enabling both staff and learners to thrive in a professional, well-resourced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare, maintain and manage workshop equipment, tools and materials to support curriculum delivery
  • Provide hands-on technical support to staff and learners during practical sessions
  • Ensure all workshops and equipment meet high standards of health & safety and compliance
  • Carry out routine maintenance, testing, minor repairs and fault reporting
  • Manage stock levels, including ordering, monitoring and storage of consumables
  • Support the development and day-to-day running of the Clean Energy Centre, ensuring specialist equipment is industry-ready
  • Set up and clear teaching areas efficiently, ensuring a smooth learning experience
  • Work closely with teaching staff, technicians and managers to ensure seamless operations
  • Contribute to a safe environment as a Fire Marshal and First Aider

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in a technical/workshop environment (construction, engineering or multi-skills)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices within practical environments
  • Ability to carry out minor repairs and equipment maintenance
  • Experience of stock control and ordering systems
  • A team player with a proactive, solution-focused approach
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service

(First Aid and Fire Marshal training can be provided if not already held.)
