Loughborough College’s Elite Sport department, which serves over 2,000 learners and offers a broad range of programmes up to Level 4, is seeking a Lecturer to teach and support elite sport learners. The role focuses on developing curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment strategies that support learners progressing through sport talent pathways.
Responsibilities
- Deliver inspiring face‑to‑face and online teaching and learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed.
- Develop learning materials and assessment tasks aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Monitor learner progress, ensure target grades are met and provide feedback to support improvement.
- Collaborate with a range of partners and work effectively in a high‑performance environment.
- Attend teaching sessions at Loughborough College and other off‑site locations, requiring a full, valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
- Maintain accurate planning and administration records and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree and recognised teaching qualification.
- Extensive teaching and vocational experience in further education.
- Experience in elite sport or high‑performance environments is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills; comfortable using a range of teaching methodologies, including online delivery.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship; valid driver’s licence; willingness to travel to off‑site sites.
